5 Thirst Quenching Iced Tea Recipes

There’s no way around this sweltering heat, we just have to keep thinking cool and calming thoughts and wait it out till the monsoon. In the interim though, why not take the edge off with some of these soothing and refreshing iced teas?
1. Pomegranate and Lemon Tea

Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
6 bags of lemon tea
1 cup pomegranate juice
2 cut limes in thin slices.
8 cups boiling water
Brew your lemon teabags in the boiling water; allow it to steep for 10 min. In a pitcher filled with ice, pour in the pomegranate juice, seeds and the lime slices. Add the tea, stir and enjoy!
2. Mint and Orange Soda Tea

Ingredients:
6 bags of mint or peppermint tea
1 cut orange, sliced thin
8 cups boiling water
1- 2 cup Orange flavour soda (according to taste)
1 -2 cup Club soda (according to taste)
Brew the mint tea in boiling water and let steep for 10 mins. In a pitcher filled with ice, pour in the orange and club soda and the thinly sliced oranges. Add the tea, stir and enjoy!
3. Mango and Strawberry Iced Tea

Ingredients:
6 bags of strawberry tea
4 Mangoes (pulp)
500 ml club soda
8 cups boiling water
Brew the strawberry tea in the water, let it steep for 10 mins. In a jar or pitcher filled with ice, pour in your mango pulp and soda. Add the tea, stir and enjoy!
4. Mock Tea Sangria with Apple and Grape

Ingredients:
6 bags regular tea
500 ml of apple juice (or to taste)
500 ml of grape juice (or to taste)
100 ml of cranberry juice (or to taste)
1 apple chopped
1.5 bunch of grapes, halved
1 orange sliced
8 cups of boiling water
Brew the tea in the boiling water, let steep for 10 mins. In a pitcher filled with ice, add in your apple, cranberry and grape juice. Then add the chopped fruits, pour in the tea. Stir and enjoy!
5. Watermelon and Basil Iced Tea

Ingredients:
½ a small watermelon
½ cup basil leaves
6 regular tea bags
8 cups boiling water
1/4 cup sugar or agave nectar (optional)
Brew the tea in boiling water and let it steep for 10 mins. Cut watermelon into slightly large chunks or wedges. In a pitcher filled with ice, add in the sugar (optional) cut fruit, basil leaves and tea. Stir till well infused and enjoy!
