Every living being on this earth has the right to live and breathe for as long as they are entitled to. Veganism is more than simply a fad. It's a way of life in which you believe that every being has an equal right to live. While many individuals and communities encourage people to go vegan, Veganuary, a non-profit organization, hosts vegan challenges every January to encourage more people to go vegan.

In 2021, a record 5,00,000 individuals joined, more than double the number from the previous year. Veganuary urges people to eat entirely plant-based foods for a month. This year's global campaign saw approximately 150,000 people join up from Latin America, 80,000 from the United States, and 50,000 from Germany.

THE VEGANUARY 2021

The TikTok hashtag #veganuary received over 170 million views during the 2021 Veganuary. Veganuary received almost 20 TV reports and news stories in Germany alone. Subway, Papa John's, McDonald's, IKEA, Unilever, and Burger King all launched new vegan products in connection with Veganguary or to promote the campaign.

Veganuary 2021 reached around 224 million individuals via social media. The campaign also debuted 566 new vegan items for Veganuary 2021, and over 1500 media pieces were covered as part of this global promotion.

As millennials make healthier lifestyle choices, many are transitioning to a plant-based diet but are unclear where to begin. Veganuary is an excellent resource for anyone who wishes to make a difference for animals and the environment.

WHAT HAPPENS AT VEGANUARY?

Veganuary is a worldwide effort. Every year in January, the organization encourages people to explore veganism and to eat solely plant-based foods for 31 days. Veganuary also pushes corporations, restaurants, and supermarkets to create and explore vegan food opportunities. They work with local businesses all over the world to establish and promote vegan brands.

While this occurs throughout the year, the group places a special emphasis on it in January. Along with this, they raise awareness about dairy farming and animal cruelty in many industries that produce consumer goods for food, fashion, and other purposes. This is accomplished through social media campaigns and creative marketing to ensure that the word gets out.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER VEGANUARY?

Just one month is not enough time to try vegan food, which helps protect billions of animals on the earth, but it is enough time to make people realize the other side of the animal industry.  It is enough time to educate people on the fact that plant-based foods do not lack in taste or variety.

According to an official Veganuary poll, around 85 percent of those who joined in Veganuary are ready to make permanent adjustments to their diet, as well as explore and adapt plant-based meals. Close to 30-40 percent of the total signups have promised to stay vegan after the campaign. People strive and wish to be vegans for animals, health, or other environmental reasons. The tragedies of the animal industry are more than enough to convince many people to become vegan because such horrors are always kept hidden from consumers.
