This 100% vegan bakery was launched by a group of friends who saw a lack of healthy options when it came to sandwiches and breads – and they partnered with a professional chef to launch Breads & Spreads. They specialize in whole wheat and sourdough bread, with varieties like Black Olive Sourdough and Pumpkin Seed Sourdough. They also stock hummus and peanut butter (crunchy + creamy).

2. Vegan Heat

In their words, Vegan Heat is India’s “first and only online vegan food delivery service,” with a mix of desi favourites and healthy probiotics. They supply house-made fermented foods like water kefir, kombucha, sauerkraut, sourdough bread and tempeh, along with an extensive menu of ready to eat meals like chana masala, dosas (they’ve got millet masala dosas and tofu & tempeh dosas), oat jars, homemade baked beans, salads and more. 3. Carrots

Carrots is one of Bangalore’s (and India’s!) most well-known vegan restaurants, and they have an extensive menu. They also sell many of their specialty products, as well as vegan food products from other brands, with a delivery option. They’ve got dips, sauces, spreads, vegan curd and other dairy alternatives, along with desserts and breads. 4. Enerjuvate

Another vegan-friendly destination, Enerjuvate serves up some delicious plant-based cuisine and has a yoga and pilates studio on the premises. They also have a boutique on-site, the #HEP store (it stands for Holistic –Exciting – Perfect), which has a range of vegan and vegan-friendly products to choose from. The space also hosts pop-ups.

5. The Organic World

A store that encourages consumers to “choose better,” The Organic World has more than just fresh produce – they stock home goods, clothing, beauty and personal care products and much more. The ideal destination for health nuts, they have varieties of spices, grains and seeds (quinoa, black rice and brown rice to name a few), and eco-friendly products.

6. Organic Planet

Organic Planet is a little grocery shop that is committed to bringing quality organic produce to consumers at affordable prices. They source directly from certified organic farmers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. 7. Madiwala Market

If you are not particular that your produce is organic, then head to the trusty Madiwala Market – they sell fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. And by reasonable, we mean prices as low as broccoli at Rs. 40 per piece!

8. Nature’s Basket

Good old Godrej Nature’s basket can be counted upon for speciality vegan and gluten-free goods. From house-made hummus and pesto to dairy-free milks, they’ve got all you need to whip up a tasty and healthy vegan meal at home.
