Vegan Baking Hacks

It’s time to bust the conventional myth that the best-baked goodies need egg or dairy in them.

  • Flax Seeds is a wonderful replacement for eggs and gives out a healthy appearance and increased texture quality to your baked products. The ideal ratio to follow is one tablespoon of flax seeds and three tablespoons of water to replace one egg.
  • Chia Seeds is another active baking ingredient that works well as a binder. Use the same ratio (1tsp Chia seeds + 3 Tbsp of water for one egg) and let it sit for several minutes before adding it to your desired recipe. 
  • Both baking powder and baking soda are chemical leavening agents that cause batters to rise when baked. The leavener enlarges the bubbles which are already present in the batter produced through creaming of ingredients.

Dairy Hacks – For your Shakes, Smoothies and More

Well sure, veganizing dishes where the core ingredient is milk or dairy products can seem tricky at first. But once you get your hands on these wonderful alternatives, you won’t ever find it a hassle again.

  • Coconut Milk Powder. This is a 2-1 deal. With this, you can make delicious Coconut milk for your hot beverages and also make Coconut Cream for your Curries and Parathas. Blend the Coconut Milk Powder in warm water in 1:4 Ratio for making Coconut Milk and 1:2 Ratio for making White Makkhan.
