Bingewatch YouTube Videos Of Two Vegan Chefs Who's Popularity Soared During COVID-19

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to make headlines for the wrong reasons, not all is gloomy. The coronavirus pandemic forced us to stay indoors and many of us honed our culiary skills by watching videos on vegan cooking on YouTube. Here are two YouTube channels that vegans binge-watched and whose popularity sky-rockted during the COVID-19 pandemic:

 

Pick Up Limes

Sadia's Pick Up Limes is a breath of fresh air in times of the ongoing pandemic. Aesthitically shot, Sadia Badiei's videos are easy to follow and informative. Besides videos on easy and healthy vegan cooking, we recommed her videos on cultivating healthy habits, minimalism, conscious living, and guide to grow plants for beginners. Sadia is a Canadian foodie and Dietetics graduate currently living in the Netherlands. Her channel, Pick Up Limes, gained immense following and it currently has a whooping 30+ lakh subscribers on YouTube.

Avant Garde Vegan

 Gaz Oakley a.k.a. AvantGardeVegan told The Sunday Times that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused his subscriber numbers to hit 10 lakhs. The UK-born chef was described in The Daily Telegraph as "a star of the meat-free world", whose "recipes have gained the respect of herbivores and carnivores alike". Gaz's channel has a wide array of videos on vegan fare cooking ranging from vegan mozzarella pizzas to smokey BBQ jackfruit wraps.  A fan of Indian cooking and spices, he also has videos on vegan Indian dishes and snacks like samosas that he fondly calls 'pockets of joy'! The 27-year-old chef learnt cooking from his dad as a kid and started his job as part-time chef at a restaurant at the age of 15.  Today, Avante Garde Vegan has 11+ lakh subscribers on YouTube.
