Formula 1 Champ Lewis Hamilton Launches Vegan Burger Chain
Five-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is now turning restaurateur! He’s partnered with hospitality group The Cream Group and Beyond Meat backer Tommaso Chiabra to set up Neat Burger – a 100% plant-based burger chain. (Hamilton switched to a vegan diet in 2017, and regularly advocates for it on social media and elsewhere, encouraging his fans and followers to try it out.)
Marketed as the world’s first vegan sustainable burger chain, Neat Burger will open its first outlet on September 2nd in London, with plans to expand to 14 franchises around the world in the next two years.
Hamilton took to Twitter to share the news, stating that Neat Burger would revolutionize the way people view fast food. He added, "I'm very passionate about being kinder to our world and also really respect Neat Burger's commitment to more ethical practices and supporting small businesses, so this is something I'm also really proud to support. But it is also about the product. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I believe we need a healthier high street option that tastes amazing but also offers something exciting to those who want to be meat-free every now and again."
Today we announce the launch of Neat Burger, a plant-based restaurant chain with a commitment to ethical practices and being kinder to our world. I’m so excited to be part of this company, which aims to revolutionize the way we view meat-free food. @NeatBurger_ ???????? pic.twitter.com/Ngj27avBfe

Neat Burger chefs have worked closely with Beyond Meat to develop the patties, and will launch with 3 core burgers: “The Neat,” “The Cheese” and “The Chick’n.” Plant-based hot dogs will also be on the menu, and sides include skinny fries, sweet potato fries and tater tots.
That’s not all – diners also have a fun range of beverage and dessert options to choose from. Neat Burger will stock Just Water (an eco-conscious brand launched by Jaden Smith), ethical Lemonaid sodas, dairy-free soft serves and coconut and soy-based milkshakes. Sounds pretty darn good!
