Gurgaon's 100% Vegan Café ‘Loving Hut-The Vegan Paradise’ Launches Homemade Vegan Cookies Pan-India
Loving Hut - The Vegan Paradise, a 100% vegan café in Gurgaon is going to start delivering their infamous homemade vegan cookies all over the country under the name LH Vegan Paradise. This range will also include oil-free, sugar-free and gluten-free options.
All cookies will be palm oil-free, unlike most found in the Indian market. Palm oil is not considered environmentally friendly as it leads to extensive deforestation, destroying the habitats of many endangered species, but it is still used widely for commercial purposes.
The owner Daisy Pruthi started this endeavor to share delicious and healthy vegan food with both vegans and non-vegans. The café has an extensive menu which covers Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisines, ranging from pizzas, pastas, burgers to Indian delicacies like biryani and multiple mock chicken or 'chyckin' dishes. The café also offers a wide variety of desserts including mithais, cakes and cookies.
The Process
The vegan cookies up for delivery include eight varieties – Thumb Print Jam Cookies, Blueberry Gluten-Free Cookies, Lemon Cookies, Vanilla Sandwich Chocolate Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies (oil-free), Vanilla Strawberry Cookies, Chocolate Choco Chunk Cookies and the Indian classic Naan Khatai.
Since the cookies do not contain palm oil, which acts as a binding agent, Daisy explained that it was difficult to crack the recipe and took her a year to perfect it. She also wished to cater to her wide and diverse customer base by offering a variety of healthier options, including oil-free, sugar-free and gluten-free alternatives. These are made with nut butters, and sweetened with molasses and jaggery - adding a natural touch to these treats.
The Naan Khatai has been extremely successful with the customers, especially kids.
“Naan Khatai has a peculiar flavour and we have been able to crack that and create a replica with a particular texture and taste. Customers always tell us about how much their kids are fond of it,” she warmly expressed.

The Cafe During the Pandemic
Daisy shared that many non-vegetarians also relish the café’s plant-based offerings. Their chicken dishes and mithais are particularly a hit. Many claim to be unable to tell that the food is vegan – which is exactly the response she seeks.
The Vegan Oven was shut down at the beginning of the lockdown for the safety of the staff, and the option to dine-in still remains closed. The cafe reopened its kitchen in October and has been operating through home delivery and pick-up since.
The launch of their much-loved cookies pan-India is an exciting event for Daisy and the team. The venture took time and precision, but the wholesome treats are now ready to be shared.
