HerbYvore launches 'Pea Paneer' in Singapore

Singapore based Agrocorp’s HerbYvore Foods is behind the launch of the newest sustainable alternative to hit the shelves. Pea Paneer, their plant-based paneer alternative has now been officially unveiled in Singapore and will be launched globally in the coming months.

Pea Paneer is a soy-free alternative made from yellow pea protein and is a fully farm-to-fork product. The peas are carefully sourced from farms in Canada and processed at Agrocorp’s own facilities there. The paneer is manufactured locally in Singapore. It is meant to be a soft vegan cheese that can be used to replace paneer, feta and halloumi. Agrocorp intends to expand their reach to India, Canada, Australia and the US in the near future.

Vegan First spoke to Vishal Vijay, Director, Strategic Investments at AgroCorp International to find out what their India plans were. 

In Singapore, the Pea Paneer has been launched at a few restaurants like Yantra, Kailash Parbat and Rang Mahal and can be found on the shelves at NTUC Fair Price Finest, Vegan Grocer and online at NourihSg and BuzzSgp. Nutritionally, Pea Paneer claims to contain more Protein and almost 6 times the amount of calcium contained in Tofu
