Having seen Cowspiracy I was super excited for What The Health. Kip Anderson, the director has definitely outdone himself. It’s about an hour and a half long - a fast-paced, gripping and at times hilarious, to the point, investigative health documentary.

It starts off with Kip’s personal journey, his health concerns, obsession with vitamin supplements and attempts to stay away from diseases he is genetically predisposed to.

As he ventures out to find out the truth about diet and disease, he uncovers possibly the largest health secret of our times and the collusion between industry, government, pharmaceutical and healthcare providers in keeping their unscrupulous practices hidden from the public.

This documentary mainly addresses issues in the US, but it holds good everywhere. Kip uncovers the impact of highly processed animal products on our health and society at large and explores why leading health organizations continue to promote the very foods which cause disease. All this despite countless medical studies and research proving the ill-effects of these products on our health.

Real doctors are interviewed in this documentary and what sends a chill down the spine is their admission of unscrupulous practices and their efforts to cover up the secret to preventing chronic diseases; they only seem enthusiastic to maintain/control diseases with medication/medical intervention and prolonging life without any thought given to the quality of life of their patients.

Fortunately, doctors like Dr.Michael Gregor MD of nutritionfacts.org, Dr. Michael Klaper MD,  Dr.John McDougall MD,  Dr.Milton, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr.Garth Davis and others bring hope to this noble profession.

After watching this documentary, I am left with mixed emotions. I am happy that this documentary will open the eyes of anyone seeking truth and knowledge, but I am also a worried as to how we will be able to overcome the vested interests operating in the name of "healthcare".

Sadly, I did not have this information 10 years back, when my parents were suffering from cancer and heart disease. I have been troubled by the thought that they would still be with us if I had applied the learnings from this documentary to help them heal themselves.

A MUST WATCH!!!

Watch the whole documentary on Netflix India and let us know how you liked it.
