India’s 100% Vegan Ice Cream Brand ‘White Cub’ Expands to Coimbatore

White Cub, a 100% vegan ice cream brand, is expanding its reach across the country. The brand has launched their ice creams in Coimbatore through the vegan convenience store Earth Story.

“Today our stocks are aligned to reach Coimbatore. For the first time ever White Cub will also be available in Coimbatore,” the CEO Ms. Sonal told Vegan First.

White Cub recently announced the launch of their third franchise parlour in Gurgaon. The parlour offers over 20 different flavours, along with sugar-free options. Their ice creams are made with a coconut, soy and almond milk base. The brand’s production process involves no risk of cross contamination with animal products.

White Cub also released two new flavours during the IPL season this year – Coconut Frenzy and Hattrick Fruit Punch. Their winter release consists of a flavour called Turmeric Glow.

Although the spread of Covid-19 negatively affected the demand for ice creams, Sonal shared that the pandemic led to an increased demand for vegan options.

“We have had lots of milk consumers consume our ice creams in the peak of the pandemic,” the CEO explained. “There was a point when we could not ship our ice creams even to Delhi because of the border transport block. During that time, we did surprisingly good business by selling within Gurgaon to people who would’ve opted for milk ice creams. But they shied away from consuming anything derived from animals and switched to White Cub.”

Last week, the brand reintroduced their ice creams in Hyderabad in 125ml and 500ml FMCG packaging which will be available in the Planetarium Store. Their ice creams are also available in various convenience stores across the country, including Modern Bazar in Gurgaon.
