The recent launch announcement of a Vegan KitKat by Nestle, it is certain that the demand for vegan milk chocolates is increasing globally.

An Indian brand ‘MilkinOats’ has launched a vegan milk chocolate made with oat milk. The company is the third in the world to release oat milk chocolate, after Lindt and Cadbury, and the first in India.

Their premium range, called Chalet Chokolad, is made in Swiss chalets and offers two varieties - Chalet Velvety and Chalet Almond Crunch. These 100% vegan chocolates are developed to have a smooth texture, created using a “secret recipe.” They are also nut-free and soy-free.

The chocolates are currently available on Amazon, Flipkart, Vegan Dukan, Vegan Mall, Vvegano and the brand’s website.

MilkinOats was founded in 2020 by Ashna Goel and Vishwesh J. Nair. Their idea was to utilize the potential of oats in the Indian market, and lay emphasis on its versatility and benefits. The lack of this knowledge among Indian consumers led them to start the company.
