'It Empowers Me Every Single Day': Actress Samantha Akkineni On Going Vegan

On Saturday, popular South Indian film star Samantha Akkineni took to Instagram for a candid 'Ask Me Anything' Live video and expressed her views on veganism after a follower quizzed on the same. On asked how easy it was for the actress to go vegan, Samantha informed that being vegan empowers her every single day and she is enjoying the journey. "All I can say is when you're ready, you're ready and it's a decision that is empowering and it empowers me every single day and I'm enjoying this journey," the bubbly star said in the live video.

Samatha turned vegan a while back and has found newofund love in cooking healthy plant-based, vegan food, fermenting foods and gardening during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The popular star who has 1.16 crore followers on her Instagram account @samantharuthprabhuoffl is the step daughter-in-law of actress Amala who runs the NGO Blue Cross of Hyderabad for stray animals in Hyderabad and has been vegan for many years now.
