Join Vegan India Movement’s animal rights march in Bengaluru and Indore soon!

The Vegan India Movement’s animal rights march is back! Bringing together animal lovers from all over the nation, the march will be held in two zones — the South Zone at Bengaluru on March 18th-19th, 2023 and the North Zone at Indore on March 25th-26th, 2023. 

Nitin Jain, one of the organisers of the march says, “The aim of these animal rights marches is to put the limelight on the immense suffering and human-inflicted exploitation of animals for pleasures like meat, dairy, eggs, leather, silk, wool, animal testing, etc. It will advocate veganism as the solution to end this suffering. We want to highlight that veganism is the fastest growing social justice movement for animals and is inevitable.” 

“We will achieve this by uniting vegans and animal rights activists across the country to spread the message of justice and compassion. We will also educate them about the unintentional and avoidable animal abuse people are participating in,” he adds.

The Vegan India Movement conducts one such zonal march every year apart from regional marches in cities. The last zonal march was held in 2019 across 4 cities, representing 4 zones in India. This year, the Vegan India Movement will be joining hands with the Bengaluru Brigade of Animal Liberation (BBAL) in Bengaluru and in Indore, they are teaming up with the Indore Animal Liberation to organise the Animal Rights March India. 

In both the cities, the Animal Rights March India will be followed by an outreach and community building programme on the second day. Here is the schedule:

Bengaluru Animal Rights March: Saturday, March 18

The march will be accompanied by talks, musicals, dinner and community building. Ethical and vegan organisations such as Ahimsa Farm Animal Sanctuary, FIAPO, A Billion Veg, OneGood and Vegan Dukan will deliver talks against animal cruelty. 

Time: 3.30 PM onwards

Starting Point: Rani Sarala Devi College, Jayanagar, Bengaluru

Bengaluru Outreach & Community Building: Sunday, March 19 

Morning: 

Time: 7.30 to 10.30 AM

Location: Cubbon Park (Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Metro Station)

Evening: 

Time: 5 to 7.30 PM

Locations: Church Street - opposite Matteo Coffea, Jayanagar - near MI Showroom, Shahakarnagar - in front of Cult Fit and Brookfield - near Asha Tiffins

Indore Animal Rights March: Saturday, March 25

Much like the Bengaluru Animal Rights March, this too will be accompanied by talks, musicals, dinner and community building. 

Time: 3.30 PM onwards

Indore Outreach and Community Building: Sunday, March 26
