Navjot Singh Sidhu Says A Healthy Vegan Diet Is The Secret To His Fitness!
It looks like more and more sportsmen are embracing a vegan diet! Virat Kohli switched to a vegan diet last year, and now, it's former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu.
In an interview with Punjabi news channel former cricketer and Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu said he is now following a plant-based diet.
"Main vegan ban gaya," is what he said when the journalist asked him the secret behind his new fitter physique. He described his diet as "MRP," or one with no milk, refined sugar and packaged products.
He also gave a rundown of what he ate, which is a high raw plant-based diet along with pulses. Some of his staples include salad, leafy greens, fruits and a mixture of raisins, dry fruits and nuts, including almonds, cashews and walnuts. He also added that he has an early dinner at 7:30.
While Sidhu has switched to a plant-based diet for now, we hope he embraces a vegan lifestyle, too! Do you think he can inspire other lawmakers to embrance a plant-based diet?
