This is good news for anyone who craves meat, whether they are vegan or not. Nestle is planning a meatless chicken wing collaboration with a vegan business. What sets this partnership apart from the others is that the company wants to build not only a plant-based chicken product but also a texture that incorporates realistic skin and bones.

NESTLE TEAMING UP WITH A VEGAN STARTUP

Nestle is launching a full-fledged effort in the plant-based meat sector. The business hopes to make realistic flesh that will also simulate realistic skin and bones similar to that of actual chicken in their first cooperation with Sundial Foods, a vegan startup based in the United States. Nestle has stated that it will invest $4 billion in Sundial Foods. The company is based in San Francisco and produces chicken imitations. A Nestle spokesman told Business Insider that the decision was made following a successful engagement with the startup as part of the company's research and development accelerator program.

THE AIM

The goal of the company is to provide customers with a taste that is identical to that of genuine chicken, including muscle, bone, and skin. This is made feasible by the company's patented technology. Soybeans, nutritional yeast, chickpeas, sunflower oil, and water are among the eight fundamental ingredients.

"Our goal is to make meats that replace the butcher, so our product can be enjoyed as a center-of-plate experience," said Sundial co-founder Jessica Schwabach. "We want to give consumers—whether vegetarian, vegan, flexitarian, or meat-eating—a plant-based meat-eating experience that's interesting, craveable, and versatile."

This demonstrates how far the plant-based meat industry has come. Companies are being pushed to look beyond the usual possibilities by the growing demand for such alternatives.
