Nestle To Launch Ready To Drink Chocolate Oat Milk

Nestle is known for all things dairy and all things chocolate, so it’s certainly good news to see them launch a plant-based alternative that caters to both categories.

The company has come up with a vegan chocolate flavoured oat milk. Called GoodNes, the drink is made from oat milk and pea protein and was developed to be as close to the nutritional value of milk as possible. It contains 6 g of protein per serving along with 2g of dietary fibre. The drink does contain added sugar (in the form of cane sugar and stevia leaf extract) but contains 40% less sugar compared to the brand’s chocolate almond milk.

The product is set to launch soon in the United States and will be available in Wal-Mart and other retail stores.

In India, Nestle sells Nesquick in the form of cold chocolate milk in kiosks, as well as chocolate, strawberry and banana flavoured powder, which is supposed to be added to milk. No indications yet on whether oat milk or other Nestle vegan products will be launched in India, but with the rise in alt-milks on store shelves, it is a possibility!
