New feature film about a vegan coffee shop releases in the US!

Veganism is becoming mainstream, and how! An American feature film titled Coffee Wars, whose story revolves around a vegan coffee shop, was released on March 21, 2023 in the US and Canada. The film is out on Amazon Prime, iTunes, and Google Play.

Coffee Wars is a thorough entertainer with a generous dose of comedy. However, it also carries a message about the power of small businesses and the growing trend of plant-based alternatives. The movie features Kate Nash, who plays Jo, the owner of an independent vegan coffee shop. 

The film’s plot revolves around how the vegan coffee shop owner is facing the challenge of saving her business, and enters the World Barista Championship to prove herself in the dairy-dominated world of coffee. What happens in the championship? Does she eventually win and save her coffee shop?

All the products used in the film were vegan and ethically sourced, including the food and the brands used for costumes and makeup. Moreover, the film’s team has shared that the animals featured in the film were rescued by them and are living happy lives at animal sanctuaries. 

VegGood Films, the producer of Coffee Wars, has announced that 100% of all proceeds from the film will be donated to environmental and animal welfare charities. 

While coffee lovers, comedy fans and vegan foodies in the US and Canada can watch the film starting today, Coffee Wars will be released in the UK in April.
