India has become a breeding ground for plant-based companies and international brands are becoming interested in entering the Indian vegan market. In this scenario, Oatly, one of the most popular plant-based brands, is now available in the Indian cafe Third Wave Coffee Roasters as a plant mylk alternative.

The cafe has branches in Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru and is one of very few restaurants to offer Oatly’s products in India. Third Wave Coffee Roasters is known for its high-quality coffee, which is also available online and in stores.

The café announced this launch through their Instagram, writing:

"We want to spoil you with choices!

We at Third Wave have become friends with one of the finest vegan oatmilk brands @oatly, making us one of the few in India offering it!

Now enjoy your favourite cup – the vegan way with @oatly!”

Oatly is available as a plant-based alternative in beverages for an addition of Rs. 104. It is available both in dine-in locations and online through Zomato and Swiggy.

Oatly is a Swedish brand with a reach across a number of countries in Europe and in the United States. Its introduction in India is a nod to the growth of the plant-based movement in the country, and with a positive response, we might see the brand extend its coverage in the country.
