Paul Pogba, Stella McCartney And Adidas Team Up To Launch First Ever 100% Vegan Football Boots

Trending today is the launch of the first-ever vegan football boots from Adidas. Predator Freak is the new shining toy and Paul Pogba just can’t wait to wear them before getting into the pitch again.

The model is available to buy on Adidas’ website from November 1, on world vegan day. It will also be available in select stores. 

According to the brand, the Predator Freak is sustainable and innovative at the same time, while not compromising on providing elite performance. It all happened last year after in a podcast Paul Pogba and Stella McCartney spoke about their common love for fashion. France midfielder Pogba and Manchester United played a key role in designing the boot.

Pogba said, "I am a footballer first and foremost, but I have a huge interest in fashion and design and I've always wanted to explore this further. This collaboration has been particularly special for me because I've been a fan of Stella McCartney's work for a long time, so when we came together for The Huddle last year and had this idea, it felt like the perfect opportunity to create something.”

“The boots we created with Adidas are bold and unique, and I can't wait to wear them when I step onto the pitch,” says Pogba. It was carefully thought out and the boot comes in a laceless design and has a unique silhouette. The upper design of the boot comes in white adorned with earth protector graphics and a leopard-like design.

Speaking about this, Stella McCartney added, “Since the start of my collaboration with Adidas, we’ve continued to push the boundaries in high-fashion and performance wear so it’s incredibly exciting to be expanding into the world of football with the superstar athlete Paul Pogba.

Creating with the planet in mind is core to the Adidas by Stella McCartney partnership and as the first Adidas vegan football boot, the Predator Freak also uses recycled materials. Commenting on this, PETA Director Elisa Allen praised the collaboration and said, "We hope this latest collaboration will inspire Adidas Group to kick all animal leather, whether it comes from cows or kangaroos, out of its collections and stay on the ball by using only cruelty-free, planet-friendly vegan materials."
