PlantWise introduces plant-based cheeses in India that taste, melt & spread like dairy!

When two Indian vegan mothers get together to launch plant-based foods, they ought to be delicious and flavourful. We’re talking about the new vegan cheese spreads, shreds and cheesy nuggets from PlantWise, a plant-based dairy alternatives company started by Manisha Chaudhury and Saumya Jayaswal. Best news? PlantWise cheeses taste, melt & spread just like dairy cheeses!

PLANTWISE FOUNDERS' STORY

For the two founders, finding clean-labelled, conscious foods that passed their kids’ taste-test had become a challenge. In addition, Manisha, who is a well-known & vociferous vegan activist, kept hearing that a lack of options was stopping people from adopting a healthier, sustainable lifestyle.

Their personal journeys & invaluable insights from real consumers propelled them to launch products which ticked all the boxes – plant-based, zero preservatives, sustainable, climate positive and most importantly, high on taste & functionality. 

Saumya says, “Food has to be accessible, affordable and delicious first. Consuming responsibly should not be a sacrifice, but a rewarding experience. So, our razor-sharp focus is on bringing the best-in-class vegan products that don’t compromise on taste, functionality or health, and they happen to be good for the planet too. We offer yummy cheese spreads in 3 different flavours – classic cheese, garlic and pepper. They are made using real roasted garlic flakes and cracked pepper. We have also just launched Parmesan-style vegan cheese shreds & ready-to-cook nuggets in cheese & chilli flavours."

Manisha adds, “As mothers and responsible consumers ourselves, we have created plant-based products that our families love to eat and which are also good for the gut, planet and are multi-functional. For example, our spreads can also be used as dips or melted into sauces – you don’t need to buy 3 different products anymore! Our products offer HoReCa and home chefs a lot of scope for culinary creativity.” 

On what sets their cheeses apart, Saumya says, “Our unique natural fermentation process lends an authentic cheese flavour quite similar to dairy cheese. So our consumers can’t tell that this is not dairy cheese! Hence, you won’t have to miss the good taste and transitioning to a healthier lifestyle will be a breeze. PlantWise ships its spreads and chilli-nuggets to all major cities and has just launched its shreds in Delhi NCR. All their products are now available at an introductory 10% discount at www.plantwise.store. They are also available on Vegan Dukan, Vvegano, Vegan Mall, etc.
