Prepare For The Himalayan Vegan Fest 2022 - The Biggest Vegan Event in Nepal & Bhutan

The biggest, most exciting vegan event is set to take place in April 2022 among the serenity of the Himalayas in Nepal and Bhutan.

The Himalayan Vegan Fest is going to be a six-day event open to everyone. It will include a vegan food court, panel discussions, exhibitions, local and international vegan chefs, free workshops, movie screenings, a kid’s activity corner, music and dance, and more exciting activities.

What can you look forward to?

The event is aimed at spreading awareness about the many benefits of a plant-based lifestyle and will feature vegan and environmental activists, filmmakers, local conservationists and health professionals, CEOs, and celebrities. Over a hundred speakers, local and international, will be delegating the event, covering different aspects of the plant-based movement. The fest will also hold a 5k mini-marathon and informative sessions about vegan health and fitness.

The Fest is aimed bringing together vegans and curious non-vegans together in a celebration of the plant-based movement across the world. It will offer cooking classes for different vegan foods and desserts, and good food, music and dance. Through its many guests from different fields and cultures, the Fest will be exposing people to information and resources on following a compassionate, sustainable and healthy lifestyle - all in an interactive atmosphere.

The Himalayan Vegan Fest is the biggest vegan event in the history of Nepal and Bhutan. It will not only highlight the international vegan movement, but also the local developments in this sphere. The festival will be held once every three years in different Himalayan cities to highlight the grassroots efforts by local vegan activists and communities.

When is it?

The fest will be held on 15th-17th April in Kathmandu, Nepal and 18th-20th April in Thimpu, Bhutan.

Who can attend?

The event is open to everyone, vegan or not, and offers activities, panels and workshops as resources for individuals, communities, institutions, organizations, restaurants, businesses, etc.

Almost all vegan businesses in Nepal will be in attendance along with businesses from India, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, the USA, the UK, Canada, and Australia. 

The World Vegan Organisation will be holding their 7th annual World Vegan Organisation conference at the event in support of local vegans.
