Indian Plant-Based Meat Start Up Blue Tribe, Debuts in Singapore

Blue Tribe, a Mumbai-based start-up that makes vegan meats has made its way to Singapore after successfully establishing itself in the Indian market. Blue Tribe recently received an enormous push after it was backed by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma who joined as investors and brand ambassadors.

The brand will be rolling out its signature line of products, including plant-based chicken sausage, chicken nuggets, chicken keema, and mutton keema in Singapore.

In Singapore, Blue Tribe products will be available at supermarkets and stores across the city-state, including Avighna Store, Waangoo, Melville Park Supermarket, Kalam Minimart, Amman Indian grocery store, Maha Mart, KVRS, Amba Ji International, Malar, Saastha, and Fresh Foods Supermarket. Blue Tribe is also available on Waangoo.com.

The island city-state of Singapore is ahead of most of the world when it comes to promoting sustainable food alternatives and was the first to develop a regulatory framework around plant-based food technology. Singapore is often seen as a stepping stone to expanding product lines to other Asian markets and for Blue Tribe, this seems to be a perfect start since Singapore hosts a sizeable Indian population along with one that is conscious about their food choices.
