Pune's First Animal Liberation March

"Let’s show the world the animal rights movement is about LOVE!"

DxE (Direct Action Everywhere) 

DxE is a global grassroots network of animal rights activists that works to highlight atrocities against animals. Founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013, the group mobilises activists and people worldwide through open rescue, mass protest and community building.

DxE is organising the Animal Liberation March on 25th August - the first of its kind in Pune and welcomes everybody to join in on Saturday, 25th August.

In spite of being the world's largest vegetarian country, the plight of animals in India is far from rosy - a ruthless dairy and poultry industry hold thousands of animals captive and stories of brutal culling of stray dogs surface regularly. 

"The animal industries have been lying to us for a long time. Now it's time we reveal the truth to the public and expose their brutality towards animals. And to expose the animal ag, just non participation is not enough. We need to actively intervene violence. Through the power of people and nonviolent action, love will win over violence."

Thousands of animals are slaughtered each second for food - and this doesn't count the ones who are physically and psychologically tortured, abused and forcefully separated from their children.

Through the march, the organizers hope to create more awareness and educate consumers on how their purchase decisions can make difference. The event is open to all, details up on Facebook.
