There is no better time to educate yourself about veganism than right now, and having a support system can always help you stay motivated through the change. This is exactly what Vegan Fest India brings you - a community of vegans, transitioning, old and new, who you can share your journey with.

Vegan Fest India, an endeavor undertaken to spread awareness about compassion and sustainability, is holding an elaborate two-day fest on 27th and 28th February 2021. Called ‘The Fete’, it will feature workshops, live performances, games, and free samples of vegan products.

They wish to not only spread awareness about animal rights but also about the relation between animal agriculture and zoonotic diseases.

The committee had planned to hold the Vegan Fest India in Bhopal in March 2020, but were unable to go through with it due to lockdown restrictions. The event was supposed to be a 4-day festival featuring vegan brands, panel discussions, and workshops.

However, to make up for that, they have been holding monthly vegan events since World Vegan Day 2020 (November 1st).

Vegan Fest India’s first event involved a screening of the documentary The Game Changers along with a quiz and a Q & A session. This was followed by tracing grassroots animal rights and vegan activism and a vegan high-tea featuring various dairy and meat replacers. To top it off, the event was concluded with a small concert by vegan musicians.

Following that, the next event called ‘Poet-tree Party’ was held on 27th December in Bhopal, which was a poetry competition on veganism and sustainability. The attendees received a box of vegan treats as well as resources on veganism, and the event saw coverage in the newspaper Danik Bhaskar.

Vegan Fest India’s last event was a Republic Day Tree Plantation, which was also reported in Danik Bhaskar. This event was aimed to bring attention to the environmental impact of animal agriculture, as the industry is one of the highest contributors of deforestation globally.

Be a part of the upcoming Fete to indulge in delicious vegan food and mingle with the community!
