Scientists report that a Vegan diet drastically improves diabetes-related insulin sensitivity
By now, we all know that plant-based diets have become quite prominent in doctorial reports, with the underlying fact that it's undoubtedly the healthier option.
As reported by NDTV, the latest study conducted by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine concluded that a plant-based diet could increase insulin sensitivity during meal times and thereby greatly improve one’s diabetes management.
There were over 50 participants in the study who were on a plant-based diet for 4 months. Aside from the increased insulin sensitivity, the participants also revealed reduced blood sugar levels, again, directly linked to the vegan diet.
Studies and experiments like these do indeed prove that food can be our medicine if we make the right choices in our diet and lifestyle. This study just adds to a whole load of scientific data which complements the fact that a plant-based diet is indefinitely healthy for us.
