Second Plant-Based Foods Summit by PBFIA to be held in Delhi on May 25

The 2nd Plant-Based Foods Summit, presented by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), is set to take place on May 25, 2023, Thursday, at Hotel Le Meridien, Windsor Place, New Delhi. The event is being organised by the Plant Based Foods Industry Association (PBFIA) and supported by the U.S. Soybean Export Council and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Distinguished dignitaries, including Beeda Mastan Rao Yadhav, Member of Parliament; Mercy Eapos, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Dr. Sudhanshu, Secretary, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA); Jim Sutter, CEO, U.S. Soybean Export Council (USA); Jasmijn De Boo, CEO, Proveg International; Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, Indian Chamber of Commerce; Atul Mulay, President, Praj Industries, and many other thought leaders will grace the event.
The summit will feature an exhibition showcasing a wide array of plant-based foods from various companies and start-ups. Additionally, a conference will host immersive sessions with keynote speakers, policymakers, representatives from the HoReCa community, academia, and industry experts. These sessions will provide valuable insights into the latest trends, innovations, and the future of the plant-based foods industry.
Exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase their products, network with industry players, including potential investors and partners, and explore collaborations. The exhibition will highlight the most innovative businesses, products, ingredients, and machinery from India and around the world, with a special emphasis on promoting and celebrating the rapidly growing plant-based foods industry. Participating companies include Continental Greenbird, Nutricircle, Brenntag, Sanitech Engineers, Blue Tribe Foods, Vezlay, Pall Corporation, Shaka Harry, Evolved Foods, and many others.
One of the summit's highlights is the ‘Pitch Perfect’ Investors Show, providing companies with a global platform to pitch their brands and secure funding from potential investors in the plant-based foods sector.
The summit will also include ‘The Live Cooking Demo’ presented by renowned chefs such as Chef Dr. Gautam Chaudhry, Chef Sanjay Agarwal, Chef Anirudh Sethi, Chef Bharat Khemani, Chef Somnath Porel and Chef Tarun Kumar. These talented chefs will demonstrate innovative plant-based recipes, offering inspiration and new product ideas.
Moreover, the summit will feature the PBFIA Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals and companies in the plant-based industry. This ceremony provides an opportunity for participants to gain recognition for their hard work and celebrate their success.
