SHARAN Launches Second Organic Store In Mumbai

This Diwali, SHARAN India has launched its organic store in a second location in Mumbai.

SHARAN (Sanctuary for Health and Reconnection to Animals and Nature) is an Indian organization which promotes healthy, sustainable, and ethical eating. They offer expert information on a plant-based lifestyle and spread awareness about its ecological and health benefits.

“We are trying to reconnect humans with animals. That is the solution to everything,” Captain Joseph, who spearheaded the stores, told Vegan First. “Organic and vegan is the future. A lot of people are stepping onto the bandwagon.”

The organic store is 100% vegan and offers a large range of food and household products. This includes dried foods (nuts, flours) and fresh produce, as well as soaps, cleaners, essential oils, deodorants, etc. Their produce includes gourmet fruits like pecans and strawberries as well as organic apples sourced from Himachal.

The store also stocks vegan ice creams and is offering a Millet Christmas Plum Cake for the holiday season.

SHARAN kept their store operations open throughout the year. They received a high demand for organic food in South Mumbai, especially due to the pandemic. With the rise of public health concerns and an urgent need for a sustainable lifestyle, eating organic with a low-waste buying experience is essential.
