Plant-based chocolates have been a growing trend and major brands like Mars and Cadbury are adding vegan-friendly products in their collection. Globally, the vegan confectionery market, which was valued at USD 816 million in 2019, is predicted to grow at a 11.8% CAGR between 2020 and 2027. While most dark chocolates are usually free of dairy products, more vegan milk chocolates are entering the market, like Mars’ vegan milk chocolate Galaxy Bars.

Lindt, the Swiss gourmet chocolate brand, has released a vegan chocolate range in the UK for Christmas. This includes three 100-gram milk chocolate bars in cookie, hazelnut, and salted caramel flavours.

Earlier this year, Lindt announced the launch of this vegan collection in Germany and has now extended it to the UK. The Conscious Candy Company in the UK announced that they will be the first retailer to stock these chocolates, and they sold out soon after.

Made with an oat milk base and packed in recyclable material, these vegan chocolates are a part of Lindt’s HELLO collection and have the official V-label. However, the brand is not only targeting vegans, but also the environmentally conscious demographic and those with an aversion to dairy and nuts.
