What better news to celebrate World Vegan Month than this, right?

Before we elaborate on the fab collaboration between Vegan First x The Body Shop, let’s take a small history tour. World Vegan Month started as World Vegan Day and is observed on 1 st November of every year since 1994. The day has since grown from celebrating 50 years of the Vegan Society to a day of action and collaboration for compassionate vegans all over the world.

Similarly, The Body Shop was founded by Anita Roddick in 1976 who stirred up many a conversation about ethics in the beauty industry. She was a trailblazer for compassion more than 4 decades ago when no one else was concerned about the ethical considerations of the barbaric animal testing practices. Her humanitarian legacy is now being carried forward by the brand’s new vision of completely vegan products by the end of next year.

The new avocado butter comes in a plastic tube made with recycled plastic and an aluminium lid which is recyclable. Besides, The Body Shop’s avocado supplier has a Zero Landfill policy, meaning that all the fruits that aren’t used for producing oil become compost.
