Located on one of the busiest roads in Greater Kailash Delhi, Roadhouse Café is too hard to miss. What’s even better is the food this colorful place offers its visitors. My Delhi trip got even better when we received an invitation to try their brand new all-vegan menu!

After a good day's work, we decided to indulge in the plant-based delicacies we couldn’t wait to try. One of the best things about this place is the passion you see in the eyes of this Café’s owners  Tatsiana and Rohan Saraf, for the place and the food.

Having volunteered at animal shelters across the town, Tatsiana loved talking about animals and absolutely enjoyed making the vegan menu. She showed us around the beautiful premises and helped us get comfortable while we were checking out the massive food menu.

Inside Roadhouse

Roadhouse Café is airy, spacious and very colorful. This place reminds you of warm summer Beaches. The music is a mix of fun R’n’B and Classic Rock. It is a perfect place to come and relax on a lazy Sunday afternoon or even after a hard day's work for dinner.

The staff at Roadhouse Café had radiant energy. Everyone had a smile on their face and were jubilant in doing what they did best; serve us.

Veganism was a very comfortable topic for them and they had access to all the information about each and every item on the menu. They helped us pick the best food that met our needs and also suggested that we try something new; and turned out to be an awesome choice.

The Menu is an exclusive Vegan one, ie. the non-vegan dishes are on a separate menu card altogether. They serve several Vegan salads from the all-time favourite Caeser's to Quinoa and Couscous. Their Vegan Pizza is completely customizable down to that last topping. For quick bites, they serve different Wraps including Falafel and also a neat Chipotle Chilli Hummus starter. The main course menu has various styles of Spaghetti, from white sauce to red, and even a large serving of vegan Lasagna.  A very interesting dish on their platter is Vegan Ratatouille with Polenta, a classic French dish. Their signature dessert is the Vegan Carrot Cake with Date Syrup, aside from which they have many different vegan Milkshakes!

We ordered a Vegan Cheese Pizza for the main course and boy was it massive! It looked way too gorgeous for us to even want to eat it. The base of the pizza was perfectly cooked and the cheese was phenomenal. Molten vegan cheese with the hint of smoky garlic flavour, we just couldn't get enough!

Mouth-Watering Vegan Pizza

As told by my newly-turned vegan sister, “ I would pick this pizza over any other non-vegan pizza even if I were not a vegan myself”.

I would make sure I visit this place every time I am in Delhi. The strawberry chocolate shake was an absolute delight for my taste buds; rich, creamy and very flavorful. It had freshly made strawberry pulp blended with soy milk in a chocolate ganache dressing. Delicious!

The Strawberry Chocolate Shake was Ambrosial

We ordered a Carrot cake for dessert. I had my own apprehensions about the classic carrot cake as it was the first time I was going to have one after going vegan. I wasn’t disappointed. To my surprise, this dairy-free cake was even more dense and moist. It contained the perfect amount of carroty flavor with some beautiful date syrup worked as a charm for a wonderful brunch meal.

Carrot Cake! Oh so Heavenly!

Pricing

Surprisingly, the price of the food as compared to other non-vegan cafes was amazingly reasonable,  considering the service and the quality of the food which was top class. We had a mighty rich lunch with drinks for three and a dessert all under Rs 1800.
