Unilever, an internationally recognized conglomerate, has been exploring the global vegan market and has contributed to it with their new range of personal care products - Love Beauty and Planet. This haircare and skincare collection is vegan and cruelty-free, as Unilever is joining the green movement to reduce its carbon footprint. They claim to use sustainably sourced natural ingredients and recycled packaging in this range.

Unilever recently announced its intention to focus on manufacturing plant-based or 'planet-freindly' foods and reducing food waste in the production process. They have also invested in vegan brands in the past year, including a 100% vegan Indian beauty brand called Plum. In 2019, Dove, owned by Unilever, stopped animal testing on their products and officially became PETA-certified cruelty-free.

The Love Beauty and Planet collection was launched in the US in 2019 and took over India in 2020. The collection includes deodorants, haircare and skincare products crafted to cater to specific requirements by different skin and hair types.

As consumers are becoming more environmentally-conscious and buying green, big corporations like Unilever are grabbing this opportunity to become more eco-friendly and ethical.
