Vegan Bay is delivering a delicious variety of vegan food Pan Mumbai

Everyone is constantly striving to eat healthier food, and the jury has reached a consensus some time ago on what is to be considered healthy- a diet that is high in plant-based foods.

While we battle our daily routines in this fast-paced city, food often gets overlooked. We tend to prioritise the lack of time over food, and this results in the phenomenon of fast-food most of which is deep-fried and full of preservatives and addictive flavour enhancers.

For many, it may not be possible to bring freshly prepared food from home every single day. And for some, what the workplace provides may not be palatable, forget about healthy.

To cover all these gaps, Soham Ganji founded Vegan Bay, a vegan cloud kitchen that sends a variety of piping hot meals all over the city of Mumbai.

“As consumers become increasingly aware and conscious of what goes into their food, it made sense to offer a menu that can cater to almost any need- whether they are looking for something nutritious like a salad or whether they want a quick bite like a burger,” says Soham on why he founded Vegan Bay.

VEGAN BAY- AN ARRAY OF DELECTABLE FOOD

Soham ensured the menu was planned with the best vegan chef and even ensured it went through extensive taste tests to gauge the customer response.

He says, “I started out my homework on the vegan chefs in India. I came across an exceptional chef in Reishu Sharma. With his expertise, we are able to offer such an exclusive yet varied menu here at Vegan Bay.”

Soham is right. With 8 categories of foods, Vegan Bay’s menu comprises of an unprecedented variety that’s got over 35 different items.

With internationally inspired dishes made from local ingredients, the menu features a version of the Ethiopian Injera as well as the French Crepe (made with indigenous millets) as well as a Greek Salad complete with vegan feta and an apple cider vinaigrette.

The menu also boasts of vegan versions of Indian foods for those masala cravings with dishes like the Kheema Pav and the Vegan Bhurjee.

There’s even more to choose from if your palate is hankering for something else.

You can choose from four different kinds of pizzas including the loaded Vegie Fiesta, six different kinds of Pasta even featuring a Millet Risotto complete with seed pesto and vegan feta or pick from six different varieties of sandwiches and burgers including their best selling American Sloppy Joe Sandwich.

At Vegan Bay there is also an option to pick a Bowl Meal which can make a wholesome lunch or dinner. They even have a section featuring five dishes as part of an All Day Breakfast.

For those who need their dose of sweetness, you can pick from their Vegan Brownie or the Apple Pie to end your meal.

GET FRESH FOOD MADE FROM QUALITY INGREDIENTS DELIVERED

At Vegan Bay all the food is made fresh in their cloud kitchen with quality ingredients many of which are made in-house. “We have trained our chefs to make our delicious plant-based meats with a combination of jackfruit and eggplant,” adds Soham.

The house-made vegan meat substitutes feature generous portions in their burgers and sandwiches.

With a mixed crowd ordering food from Vegan Bay, Soham is cognisant about keeping the menu as welcoming as possible.

Keeping this in mind, Vegan Bay also offers Combo Meals targeted at organisations and individuals who want a monthly menu comprising of well-planned, adequately portioned plant-based foods. “Many of our current clientele comprises of offices who are ordering these meal plans because their employees look forward to eating healthier food during office hours,” adds Soham.

The Combo Meals comprise full meals like the Smoked Tofu Ratatouille Combo, Vegan Bay Tofu Meal, and even two versions of a Thai Curry Combo.

Along with continuing to develop and add more dishes to the menu, Soham also has plans to expand Vegan Bay beyond the thresholds of Mumbai city. “I do plan to go beyond Mumbai to Thane and Navi Mumbai with Vegan Bay. I also am looking to expand to other cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru.”

With such an expansive menu on offer, Vegan Bay has been getting great feedback from customers who comprise people following all different kinds of diets.

Soham ends by saying, “Our main objective behind launching the vegan menu was to serve such healthy and delicious delicacies to every vegan who is limited by options and looking for great tasting food.
