Mopping the floors is a daily exercise in most homes out of the need to eliminate dust and repel insects. If you could just see the amount of unrecognizable ingredients that go into widely available floor cleaners, you would not want to be walking on your own freshly mopped floors.

Herbal Strategi’s floor cleaner, disinfectant and insect repellent- Just Mop gave us a good excuse to test out the effectiveness of a product that is made from no toxins and mainly plant oils. Their special formulation of natural oils from lemongrass, cedarwood, and pine goes into this product. This means that once you are done mopping you can use the same water for your plants too.

How to use:

Only about 15 ml (close to a tablespoon) is needed for a 4-liter bucket to make it an effective mopping solution. Four tough stains the undiluted product can be applied and left for about five minutes before mopping.

Our Experience:

We tried out the mopping solution for one week continuously. Very little of the liquid is needed as it is quite concentrated in its formulation. The floors felt clean, and the liquid has a pleasing and mild pine fragrance that lingers for just the right amount of time. It was also effective at keeping the insects like ants and flies away.

Our Verdict:

No Grime, No Grease Without Harsh Chemicals

Like many other cleaning products, dishwashing soaps are primarily made up of solvents and surfactants which are usually lab-made chemicals. Add to this strong fragrances and parabens, and you get your standard dishwashing liquid that smells like perfume and lathers like shampoo.

Herbal Strategi’s dishwashing liquid, Nature Drop, on the other hand, is made from a far gentler coconut oil-based surfactant, soap nut oils, and lemon oils. Its earth-friendly formula means that its residues are not harmful to us and to the planet.

How to use:

This liquid is slightly thicker than the usual dishwashing liquids. So, a small dollop of it in about 150ml water should be enough to do a round of dishes. For stubborn stains, the concentrate can be directly rubbed on and scrubbed off after a few minutes.

Our Experience:

After one continuous week of using Herbal Strategi’s dishwashing liquid, we were convinced that relying on harsh chemical-based cleaners is not necessary at all. The toughest stains came off easily, the dishes did not have any strong artificial fragrances on them post washing and there was also no worry of consuming any toxic residues from cutlery. One thing worth mentioning is that due to its natural ingredient list, this liquid is very gentle on the hands.
