The recipients of the awards share some insights

"At Borges, we are committed towards a sustainable future and we have been incorporating this in our products and processes. Recently, we introduced Nut milks to the world, leveraging over 120 years of our expertise in the nuts business. And were quite delighted to receive such positive feedback from around the world including India, a market that is catching up real quick on plant-based and sustainable lifestyles. This recognition from PETA India reaffirms our confidence in the product as well as encourages us to keep innovating towards a sustainable future." says Debidutt Acharya, Marketing Head at Borges India.

Sumit Pratap Gupta from Ahimsa-The Vegan Cafe in Shirdi said, "We're grateful to receive this by PETA India as our objective has been to spread kindness far and wide. That has been the vision of our Founder and inspiration Mohanji ."

PETA India emphasizes the negative impact of factory farming on animals, the environment, and human beings, as the largest global pandemics including Covid-19 have been a result of animal agriculture. Factory farming is also a massive contributor to climate change due to excess methane emissions and the overuse of resources like land and water.
