Vegan Friendly Restaurants In Chandigarh To Eat Your Heart Out

It’s always good to know that the land of lassi and makhan doesn’t shy away from vegan offerings. Chandigarh has a good selection of vegan-friendly places with staff who are knowledgeable and willing to adapt their fare to keep vegans satiated. Some have labeled menus and others modify just for you. So take yourself to any of these places and enjoy a lavish spread that goes beyond the basics. 1. v-spot cafe 

This is the city’s first all-vegan, plant-based & gluten-free cafe.

VF recommends: ‘Power' pizza and a side of cashew miso. Or dig into ‘Euphoric’ a Mexican-inspired bowl.

2. AJA — Honestly Good Food

A wide range of vegan options across the menu—you will literally stuff yourself silly. And don’t forget to end with dessert, they have three equally decadent options.

VF recommends: Vegan Roasted Veg and Beans Quesadilla, Vegan Lassi.

3. OKO — The Lalit Chandigarh 

When it doubts choose South Asian as the most vegetarian fare at such restaurants is vegan by default.

VF recommends: Tofu and Artichoke Skewers, Kinoko (Mushrooms), and Item Kloy Thod (Tempura banana with ice cream, topped with almond flakes)

Pricing: Rs. 3,000 for two

4. Sundarams

South Indian restaurants may not have labeled items as vegan on the menu but much of the basic fare is vegan by default.

VF recommends: Mysore Masala Dosa, Onion Rava Dosa

5. FABINDIA CAFÉ

FabIndia Café has vegan options in many cities across India. The options are limited but are tasty and cover a range of cuisines and there is something in each course.

VF recommends: Vegan Super Tikki Chaat, Almond Crunch, and Espresso Cake.

6. Scola

This is a well-known vegetarian restaurant in Chandigarh with a great ambiance. It offers a range of cuisines Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Moroccan, and Greek. And there are board games too.

Beautiful ambiance with outdoor seating, this restaurant is willing to modify dishes to cater to vegans.

It is always nice when the team running the restaurant understands vegan and is happy to customize or recommend. They have a limited menu but with 4+ vegan options that could keep you going back.

9. Pink Wasabi

This place is a chain based in Mumbai and Chandigarh with a carefully curated menu with some twists on evergreen classics. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

10. Sister Stories

This is the tricity’s first millet-based, vegan, gluten-free, refined oil/sugar-free bakery run by two sisters. The dream was to run a bakery offering wholesome desserts to be eaten with no guilt.
