Vegan Store 'Rare Earth' Set To Launch New Café In Thane

The Rare Earth Store and Cafe located in Khar, Mumbai; is a much loved joint frequently visited by vegans and the vegan-curious. Better known for their vast variety of vegan products, they have had a vegan cafe for over a year now.  Rare Earth Cafe is going to launch another branch in Thane next week. The café is 100% vegan with a wide variety of dishes including a number of mock meat dishes, smoothies, sandwiches and bakery items.

The café serves popular vegan Indian dishes like keema pav, chicken tikka, biryani, and tandoori chicken which attract non-vegan customers. Their bakery items were still in demand during the lockdown. Even though sales decreased due to the pandemic, the demand for plant-based food has increased. “We are using innovative, different things to keep ourselves afloat during the pandemic,” Shammi Sethi told Vegan First.

Rare Earth introduced a range of vegan butters made with unrefined coconut oil at their store in Khar. The butter is a healthier alternative to dairy or refined oil butter and is available in three flavours – Natural, Garlic, and Peri Peri.

Rare Earth is set to launch their app on Android and Apple and their website next month. Next year, they plan to add a store to their Thane Café, and wish to expand all over India soon.
