Yogisattva Launches A Farm-To-Fork Plant-Based Cafe in Khar, Mumbai
17 March 2021
A whole foods plant-based eatery called Yogisattva Cafe has launched in Khar, Mumbai. The cafe is “farm-to-fork”, i.e. all the food and ingredients are organic and created in house. The entire menu is vegan, free of gluten and refined sugar.
The cafe has been established by Raveena Taurani, a whole foods plant-based chef. Prior to that, Yogisattva worked as a food delivery service. It is also a whole foods plant-based culinary academy in Mumbai, among others such as The Leaf E-Academy by Vinita Contractor and Yume Culinary.
The restaurant is located on a rooftop and aims to provide food that is both healthy and appeals to the popular taste. Being committed to sustainability, Yogisattva ensures that all its wet waste is composted. They also apply various methods to reuse food waste, such as adding almond pulp from almond milk into granola bars.
The aim of the cafe is to promote unprocessed eating. Some of the highlights from their menu include banana & blueberry pancakes, chickpea wrap, raw vegan pizza, and desserts such as Raw Cacao and Walnut Brownie with Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream, Cacao & Truffle Zest Cookie, and Black Sesame Ice Cream.
