Nothing says Diwali like a delicious serving of some classic Kesar-Pista Kheer!

Ingredients

1/2 cup broken wheat sevai

1 tsp cardamom powder

1/4 cup jaggery powder

1 cup SOFIT Kesar Pista Soya Milk

2 cups water

1 tbsp broken cashews

1 tbsp kismis

1 tbsp almond flakes

1 tbsp pistachio flakes

1 tbsp saffron strands

Diwali is just around the corner and what better way to treat your family and guests than with a traditional delicacy of Kesar-Pista Kheer. This recipe is healthy, vegan and absolutely delicious using Kesar-Pista flavoured SOFIT Soya Milk.

Method

  • Place a saucepan on low heat and add the Sofit Kesar Pista Soy Milk
  • After a minute, add the roasted broken wheat sevai (vermicelli) and stir gently
  • Add the jaggery powder and stir to dissolve
  • Add the cardamom powder
  • Add the cashews and kismis
  • Add water. As the mixture thickens, add more water as needed and stir at regular intervals to prevent any lumps of “milk skin” forming
  • Remove from heat, garnish with pistachios, almond flakes, saffron strands and serve
  • Tastes great warm and chilled
