Gluten-free Oats Uttapam

A gluten-free twist to the classic south-indian dish

Ingredients

1 Cup Rolled Oats

2 cups Plant based milk / Water

1 tbsp Salt - 1 tbsp (or to taste)

Fine chopped vegetables ( cabbage ,red ?yellow , green bell peppers , carrot , peas ) - 1 cup

½ piece Green chilli

1 tbsp Grated Ginger

Method:

  1. Soak the oats in water or available plant based milk for 2/3 hours . I did it in almond milk . Add the liquid according to the consistently we need - it should be moist but not too slimy 
  2. After 2/3 hours put the oats mixture in a blender with shredded ginger , chillies + salt . 
  3. Take out the prepared batter with uttapam consistency in a bowl . 
  4. Heat the nonstick pan and add a drop of olive oil. 
  5. Now pour the batter over the pan for shaping it according to your designed design. 
  6. Immediately sprinkle the veggies on the top of the oats uttapam and cover the pan with a lid . 
  7. Wait for few mins & it’s done . 
  8. Enjoy it with freshly made green chilli & coriander chutney .
