Total Time

45 Days

Ingredients

3 cups orange peels

1 cup jaggery

10 cups water

1 plastic jar (glass can break)

Pinch of yeast

Method:

  1. Add the orange peels and jaggery to the jar. Add the torn orange peels and water. Add the yeast and mix all in.
  2. Now screw the lid tight and keep the jar in a dark spot at home.
  3. Everyday you will need to release the gases once a day by unscrewing the lid slightly and then screw it back again.
  4. After 45 days, you can test on a dirty patch if the bio enzyme is ready. It takes 10 seconds to start its cleaning effect.
  5. Drain and sieve all the liquid in a bottle and discard the waste.

You can use this cleaner in a thick version in your toilet and the regular version for cleaning all surfaces, floors etc. If you need this to be soapy, you can add some soapnut powder (reetha) into it. This can be used as a dish washer or even a shampoo. There are many videos on YouTube demonstrating the process.
