Sweet Potato & Coconut Milk Gulab Jamun

Ingredients

1 1/2 (or more) cups oil for frying

1/4 tsp baking soda

3-4 cardamom

1 cup sugar

100 gms boiled sweet potato

1 slice white bread

1/2 cup coconut milk

Raisins

Saffron Strands

Method:

  • Mash boiled sweet potato
  • Add bread slices to the mash
  • Add 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • Add oil
  • Add Coconut Milk
  • Add Cardamom Powder 
  • Mix it well
  • Add a raisin to each portion and form balls
  • Roll into balls
  • Fry

For Syrup:

  • Heat sugar and water in a saucepan
  • Simmer for 3-5 Mins
  • Add saffron strands

 

  • Add Gulab Jamuns to Syrup
  • Ready to Serve
